There are a bunch of reasons that make it hard for people to pull themselves out of their current crappy situations. Fear of failure, money issues, pressure from other people’s expectation, all totally valid. Trust me, I know from first hand experience how tough all that shit can be to get past, but it is doable.

If you’ve ever been to Guatape, this small Colombian pueblo just outside of Medellin, you probably know about this massive rock you’re supposed to climb (Piedra del Penol if you want to Google it). It takes about 25 minutes, there’s just over 700 steps, and apparently you get amazing views at the top. Every travel blogger says you just HAVE to do it. Well I didn’t and it made me realise a lot.

It’s kinda impossible to be bored in today’s world. The internet has just made things so much more visible and accessible. You’re aware of a lot more now in terms of opportunities than you ever were. And that’s great for your interests and hobbies. Anything you want to learn, guaranteed there is some Youtube video on it. In regards to choosing a career path? Not so much.
